Northside Hospital Hosts 3rd Annual Atlanta Walk To Remember

In recognition of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month in October, Northside Hospital is honored to announce the 3rd annual Atlanta Walk to Remember, Sunday Oct. 14, 2 p.m., at the Concourse Corporate Center, Building 4, in Sandy Springs.

Parents, families, friends and health care professionals are encouraged to attend to remember their babies and raise public awareness of pregnancy and infant loss.  The two-hour event also is an opportunity for parents to commemorate their loss with the support of family and friends.

The Perinatal Loss Program at Northside Hospital provides support to families experiencing death of an infant and the loss of a pregnancy due to a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal death, premature delivery or termination due to problems with the baby.  The program also offers support groups, newsletters and bereavement training for health care providers.

Atlanta Walk to Remember will begin with a formal program and include a silent auction, T-shirt sales and the ½ mile walk through the office park, concluding with a balloon release.  The event is free to participate; however, donations (to fund the event) will be accepted.  Children are welcome.  The Concourse Corporate Center is located at the corner of Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive.
